Presentation
50 y/o presenting with asymetric hearing loss and dizzyness.
Image Findings
The T2-weighted image shows a small intermediate signal mass in the left internal auditory canal. The T1-weighted images show the mass to have marked, homogeneous enhancement.
Differential Diagnosis
- Meningioma
- Neuritis
- Post-operative fibrosis
Discussion
The acoustic neuroma is the most common cerebellar-pontine angle mass, accounting for 60%-75% of all masses in this region.
