Adrenal Myelolipoma
Abstract
62 y/o man with lung mass found on chest x-ray. CT scan during workup of the lung mass shows an incidental adrenal mass.

Findings and Diagnosis
A well-circumscribed fatty mass is seen in the right adrenal gland on these contrast enhanced images. This is most consistent with a benign myelolipoma. The differential diagnosis would include a benign lipoma which is less commonly seen.
The image below was obtained 3 months later showing a stable appearance to the mass.
Discussion
Myelolipomas are relatively rare benign adrenal masses containing fat and hematopoetic elements. Occasionally they occur elsewhere in the retroperitoneum.
